This is an opportunity to meet and mingle with international law practitioners in Vancouver, and to talk about a topic of mutual interest – international commercial arbitration.

About the speaker: Mr. Justice Edward C. Chiasson was appointed to the Court of Appeal for British Columbia on October 12, 2006. Prior to his appointment, Mr. Justice Chiasson was a trial lawyer and a specialist in international commercial arbitrations. While in practice, Mr. Justice Chiasson regularly sat on arbitral panels. He was a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and of the College of Commercial Arbitrators and was listed on the rosters of the London Court of International Arbitration, the American Arbitration Association and the World Intellectual Property Organization. He was also a founding trustee of the British Columbia International Commercial Arbitration Centre.
