The Gavel Welcomes it's Newest SLC!

As we bid a fond farewell to Tracy, our outgoing SLC, we welcome Mr. Braden Pence, our new Student Liaison Correspondent for 2008-2009, is a 2L at Seattle University , where he is an officer in the Moot Court Board, the Student Bar Association, and the International Law Society. He is focusing on international trade and business law studies and hopes to practice in the field someday.

Braden has traveled widely in the Caribbean and South America and he speaks Spanish proficiently. He is a dual citizen of both the United States and St. Vincent and the Grenadines, his place of birth. He spent the summer of 2004 in St. Vincent working with the government's Community Development Division, which encourages and supports sustainable community-based development projects. He split last summer between international law courses in Rio de Janiero and working for Morrow Kidman Tinker & Pence, a plaintiff's tort firm on Bainbridge Island. Braden graduated from Grinnell College in 2005 and he enjoys playing water polo and racquetball.
