CLE - Human Trafficking, Forced Labor and Corporate Responsibility

The University of Washington School of Law, Seattle University School of Law and the UW Women’s Center are collaborating to offer a  full day CLE entitled “Human Trafficking, Forced Labor and Corporate Responsibility.” It will be held on May 11, 2012 at the Seattle World Trade Center

The goal of the program is to provide legal and business professionals with a better understanding of human trafficking and the current efforts to combat it. Panels will review the federal and state legal framework regarding human trafficking; regulatory and compliance risks for businesses; corporate social responsibility and best practices; the prosecution of trafficking cases; multi-agency and victim service providers collaboration; and ethical issues for legal professionals raised by human trafficking.
