March 31st CLE: Navigating the Realm of International Arbitrations

The WSBA International Practice Section is pleased to sponsor the following CLE:

Navigating the Realm of International Arbitrations

Background:
More and more of our business involves cross-border projects, partners, lenders, workers, and other participants from foreign lands. As a consequence, disputes arise that require adjudication. International arbitration has long been an established method of dispute resolution outside the U.S. and is becoming increasingly familiar to U.S. practitioners. As its use increases, the options seem to increase. Join Mr. James Nagle and Mr. Douglas Oles as they guide practitioners through this complicated, yet pertinent dispute resolution process.

Attendees at this interesting CLE will gain an understanding of the following:
- Advantages and disadvantages of international arbitration;
- Institutional versus ad hoc arbitration;
- Selecting an administrative agency;
- Peculiar problems of international arbitration; and
- Drafting the arbitration clause.

When:
Wednesday, March 31st, 2010, 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Where:
Offices of Williams Kastner
