August 28th CLE: "International Express" Cross-Border Train CLE!
The WSBA and the WSBA International Practice Section are co-sponsors of the following day-long international CLE (REGISTER TODAY, as spacing is limited to ONE train car/26 seats):
"International Express" Cross-Border Train CLE
Earn CLE credits while taking the train from Seattle to Vancouver, BC; then enjoy lunch while meeting with cross-border BC business lawyers at a firm in downtown Vancouver, followed by more CLE credits, followed by a hosted reception that same afternoon.
Attendees at this very unique and never-before attempted all-day CLE will gain an understanding of the following:
- A comparison of privilege and work product in both the U.S. and Canada
- Labor & Employment issues for U.S./Canadian businesses entering Canada/the U.S. respectively
- Immigration considerations when crossing the 49th Parallel
- Tax concerns, lending issues, and cross-border secured transactions
