Asia Business Forum (ABF) Meeting

The WSBA International Practice Section encourages you to attend the Asia Business Forum's (ABF) first meeting on January 31 (Tue) at the office of Davis Wright Tremaine, 1201 Third Avenue, Suite 2200, Seattle, WA.

The ABF is a forum for professionals in the Greater Seattle Area, who are engaged in work related to Asia or interested in Asian economies, to share knowledge, ideas, experience and expertise.  The ABF hosts a 90-minute forum six times a year in Seattle and Bellevue, which is open to the public (but no CLE).

Upcoming Conference - UIA International Bar Association Winter Program

The WSBA International Practice Section encourages you to attend  the UIA Winter Program at Whistler, BC  on Feb 27-March 2.  The UIA is the oldest and largest International Bar Ass'n in the world.  It's administrative offices are in Paris.  There will be a heavy contingent of foreign lawyers present.

 In addition to attendees, there are also speaking opportunities.  In particular, they are looking for an additional speaker the afternoon of February 28 to speak on Corporate Compliance and Good Governance.  There are other possible slots as well.
